Westminster Mentioned alongside Grinnell and Dartmouth in Liberal Arts Story

As the value of a liberal arts education has been questioned, many liberal arts institutions have responded with evidence and proof of the power and impact of liberal arts on their students.  Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reporter Bill Schackner observed that many institutions are taking to social media to defend the liberal arts education and offering support and evidence of its worth in society.

Schackner cites the achievements of notable Westminster College alum Thomas Starzl ’47 as examples of liberal arts success, along with other alumni success stories from high-profile liberal arts institutions such as Grinnell Sollege, Dartmouth College, and Hamilton College.
