Westminster Students Support the United Way

Giving back to the local community, Westminster students, faculty and staff support the Callaway County United Way throughout the year with financial and volunteer support.

“This organization allows me to fulfill my passion for service while giving back to a community I’ve come to know so well over the span of my college career,” says Westminster student Brianna Mormann about working with the Callaway County United Way.

Here’s how the Westminster student United Way group (see below for list of members) is supporting the CCUW in 2013-14:

  • Holding a blood drive
  • Volunteering at the CCUW Radiothon and Blood Drive
  • Collecting change as donations on campus
  • Tricycle relay race with teams paying to participate (United Way fundraiser)
  • Ping pong singles and doubles tournaments (United Way fundraiser).

In addition, Westminster students volunteer at several CCUW agencies. In total, CCUW funds 13 local agencies that provide more 200 programs and services to improve education, income and health of those in need.
