Westminster Increases Scholarship for Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Students

Since 2011, Westminster College began offering scholarships to top academic students at community colleges who were Phi Theta Kappa honorary society members and chose to transfer to Westminster.

The amount of each scholarship awarded has been $8,500 a year but for the Fall 2014 semester, the scholarship will be increased to $10,000.

To qualify, prospective transfer students must have …

  • Completed at least 12 hours of course work toward an associate degree;
  • Have a 3.5 grade point average;
  • Receive an invitation to membership from the chapter at the college where they are enrolled.

Phi Theta Kappa scholarships are renewable at Westminster if a minimum grade point average of 3.0 is maintained.
