In Memory: Linda Logan, Student Life

With heavy hearts, we share the news that Linda Logan passed away on March 25, 2016 after a tragic illness.

Linda’s 23 years of dedicated service to Westminster College will not be forgotten.  She began her time at Westminster in Student Development and advanced her service as Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Dean of Student Life in January 1997.

She assisted many Student Life Deans once she assumed this position, but she was the one constant in the office for 19 years.  She was the smile that greeted faculty, staff, and students alike through the thousands of meetings.  She furnished the tissues for the multitude of tears of joy and sometimes frustration. She was the shoulder of support for those coming to the Dean with some difficulty. She was the epicenter for crisis communication when a campus problem arose.  And she was the happy face, the voice of encouragement and appreciation, and the partner through all the wonderful achievements of Student Life.

The rich community service Linda and her husband Doc offered over the years to the city of Fulton was an inspiration. She enjoyed being a Chamber Ambassador and “clowning” for so many civic events, contributions that meant so much to so many people.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Doc; her children and daughter-in-law Melissa, Matthew, and Leah, all who graduated from Westminster; and her three wonderful grandchildren Sydney, MacKenzie, and Lillie.
