The Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. Charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
On Tuesday, December 1st, Westminster College campus community celebrated #GivingTuesday. with the Westminster Student Ambassadors in Hunter Activity Center from 11 am-1 pm by decorating ornaments and signing cards of thanks while enjoying cookies and hot cocoa.
Each year students are invited to fill out a card to thank someone who has made an impact on their lives at Westminster. Last year more than 250 cards of gratitude were filled out in only 2 hours!
The event is hosted by the Student Ambassadors with special thanks to those alumni and friends who made donations to support the Westminster Fund.
In addition to the on-campus day of gratitude, alumni can show their support for students by making a gift of any amount to the Westminster Fund.
