Ticket Info for Sen. Bernie Sanders’ Lecture at Westminster College on Sept. 21

We regret to inform members of the general public who are seeking tickets for the Green Foundation Lecture by Bernie Sanders that no more tickets are available at this time.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

However, if you are still interested in watching the lecture, three other options are available.  

The event will be live streamed on the Westminster College campus in the Church of St. Mary, the Virgin, Aldermanbury and the Coulter Science Center Lecture Hall. These spaces are free and open to the public, and seating will be served on a first come, first serve basis.

There will also be an audio simulcast on Latshaw Plaza adjacent to the Champ Auditorium and the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury where lunch will be available for $10 per person to the public after the speech.”

Wondering how to get tickets to see United States Senator Bernie Sanders on September 21 at Westminster College? Here’s what you need to know …

How can I get a ticket?

Limited seating is available for Sen. Sanders’ lecture on September 21 at Westminster. Westminster students, faculty, and staff will each have the opportunity to receive one ticket each. Tickets will then be made available to Westminster President’s Club members and Lifetime Giving Societies, followed by alumni. Tickets will be distributed first come, first served with limited windows of availability for each group (details below).

  • All attendees must supply a 2017 Green Lecture hard copy ticket to enter the building for the event. Failure to produce a 2017 Green Foundation Lecture ticket will result in non-admittance inside Champ Auditorium. 
  • All tickets are free.
  • Lost tickets will not be replaced. 
  • Persons entering Champ Auditorium for the 58th Green Foundation Lecture by United States Senator Bernie Sanders (on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM) may not bring illegal or unauthorized items including backpacks, large bags, other carry-ins, outside food or beverages, cans or bottles, and signs and banners.  Small bags will be subject to search. 
  • The event will be live streamed for those unable to attend in person.

For Westminster students, faculty, and staff

Westminster students, faculty, and staff will be the first individuals given the chance to claim tickets for the 58th Green Foundation Lecture of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. A table will be set up on the second floor of Hunter Activities Center from 8 AM – 5 PM on Thursday, September 7 and Friday, September 8 for ticket pick-up.

To claim a ticket, one must physically come and pick it up from the table (prepared with photo ID), or contact Emily Perry (emily.perry@westminster-mo.edu) by 5 PM on Friday, September 8 (ID will still be required upon ticket pickup).

There is a strict policy of one ticket allowed per student, faculty, and staff member.


For members of the President’s Club and Lifetime Giving Societies

Ticketing for the 58th Green Foundation Lecture of Senator Bernie Sanders will open to Westminster College President’s Club members and Lifetime Giving Societies at 8:00 AM on Saturday, September 9. 

On Saturday, September 9, members will receive an email with a link with which to register for tickets.

Please note that tickets are limited and these members are eligible for 2 tickets per household, maximum.

After you register for tickets, please print and bring the confirmation email or form of ID to collect your ticket(s) for the lecture at the will-call table in Latshaw Plaza from 8:30-10:30 AM on September 21, 2017.

All ticket requests for Westminster College President’s Club and Lifetime Giving Societies will close by midnight on September 12. Please contact Director of Alumni Engagement Sarah Munns (573-592-6050) with any questions.


For Westminster alumni who are not members of the President’s Club or Lifetime Giving Societies

On Wednesday, September 13 at 12 PM, ticketing for the 58th Green Foundation Lecture of Senator Bernie Sanders will open to all Westminster alumni. Members will receive an email with a link with which to register on September 13.

After you register for tickets, please print and bring the confirmation email or form of ID to collect your ticket for the lecture at the will-call table in Latshaw Plaza from 8:30-10:30 AM on September 21, 2017.

There will be a limited amount of tickets remaining for Westminster Alumni, so these tickets are “first come, first served,” and only one ticket will be available per alumna/alumnus.  

Ticketing will close at 8:00 AM on Monday, September 18. Please contact Director of Alumni Engagement Sarah Munns (573-592-6050) with any questions.


For the public

If there are any tickets left over, they will be made available to the public on Monday, September 18 on a first-come, first-served basis. The time and place for the tickets to be distributed is to be determined.  

For those who do not obtain tickets, Westminster College will live-stream the 58th Green Foundation Lecture online on the college’s YouTube channel. The college will also host live simulcasts in the Coulter Science Lecture Hall and the St. Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury Church during the lecture.  These are free and open to the general public.
