2016 Green Foundation Lecture by Dr. Bennet Omalu

On Sept. 15, 2016, Dr. Bennet Omalu delivered the 57th annual Green Foundation Lecture at Westminster College. Forensic pathologist, professor, medical examiner, and founder of the Bennet Omalu Foundation, Dr. Bennet Omalu is a pioneer in the study and diagnosis of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in professional football players.

The Green Foundation Lecture is a signature event at Westminster College where internationally renowned speakers come in and share their views on current global issues. The most famous of these speakers have included Winston Churchill (see photo above from 1946), Harry Truman, George H.W. Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, Margaret Thatcher, and J.C. Penney. The Green Foundation Lectureship was established in 1936 as a memorial to John Findley Green, an attorney in St. Louis who graduated from Westminster in 1884.
