Women’s Cross Country Places 15th At Brissman/Lundeen Invitational, Men 20th

The Westminster women’s and men’s cross country teams attended the 2013 Brissman/Lundeen Cross Country Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois Friday, September 27.

The women’s team placed 15th out of 33 teams and was the first out of the three SLIAC teams in attendance. Senior Sarah Koestner crossed the line first for the Blue Jays, placing 39th  in the 6K with a time of 23:55.7. Senior Sarah Ogar finished next for the Blue Jays, placing in 62nd with a 24:28.3 time.

The men’s team placed 20th out of 35 teams. Sophomore Jesse Edwards placed 65th in the 8K run with a 26:48.3 time. Senior Matt Borst followed, placing 74th with a 27:00.5 time.

The Blue Jays will take two weeks off before heading to Fayette, Missouri on October 12 to participate in Central Methodist’s Gary Stoner Invitational.
