Eight students – ChristiAna Dunham, Eljesa Hyseni, Tyler Knorr, Allison Schott, Nicholaus Spurgeon, Zachary Stafford, Tjikuzu Tjizembua, and Chandler Yeary – encountered a wide variety of geological processes and features throughout the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas.
They learned about the geologic history, natural springs, and mass wasting of these areas. Students also saw an ancient meteor impact structure, hiked, and collected crystals.
