Language Experts for ‘Game of Thrones’ and Other Shows to Headline 18th Annual Hancock Symposium

Make plans to attend the 18th Annual Hancock Symposium on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri.
WHO: Nearly 20 distinguished speakers who are experts in their fields ― including those who developed languages for films and TV such as HBO’s Game of Thrones and Netflix’s Shadow and Bone.
WHAT: The Hancock Symposium is Westminster College’s signature event, representing the finest aspects of a Westminster education. Classes are suspended during the Symposium so that students, faculty, staff, and the local community can attend the dynamic sessions. Individuals experience two engaging days of lectures, panel discussions, and presentations by noted experts on one particular subject of global interest.
Founded in 2006, the Hancock Symposium is funded in perpetuity by a generous gift from alumnus David Hancock, Class of 1967, of Kansas City, Missouri.

WHY: The dynamic sessions challenge individuals with innovative ideas and intensive learning, allowing the Westminster community to learn new concepts while witnessing how interconnected academic disciplines can be within a single topic.
