Koestner and Edwards Named SLIAC Runners of the Week Again
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the Players of the Week for October 28th. Westminster’s Jesse Edwards and Sarah Koestner were named cross country Players of the Week.
Jesse Edwards, a sophomore from Rogersville, Mo., placed in the top 20 of last week’s 8K race. He finished with a time of 28:08 and placed 18th overall while helping the Blue Jays to a 4th place overall finish. This is Edwards second time earning Player of the Week honors.
Sarah Koestner, a senior from Lohman, Mo., helped her team to a 2nd place finish last weekend. Koestner finished her 5K course with a time of 20:06 and placed 8th individually out of 44 runners. This marks the second time this season she has won weekly honors.
The Blue Jay cross country teams will participate in the SLIAC Championships on Saturday, November 2, in Hillsboro, Illinois.
