Westminster’s Homecoming and Family Weekend Begins Sept. 29

Friday, September 29 marks the beginning of Westminster’s 2017 Homecoming and Family Weekend. Parents and alumni will arrive in Fulton for a weekend of fellowship and celebration of the Blue Jay Nation.

2017 Homecoming and Family Weekend Schedule

Friday, September 29
6:00-6:30 p.m.: Pep Rally; Westminster College Hill
6:30-9:30 p.m.: Live Band Karaoke Concert with Lutz’ BBQ; Westminster College Hill

Saturday, Sept. 30
10:00 a.m.: Westminster College Homecoming Parade. The parade will proceed east on 7th Street, south on Court Street, west on 5th Street, north on Westminster Drive, and then west on 7th Street to end at Priest Field. 
11:00-1:30 p.m.: Tailgate-style lunch via food truck. Cash bar available, plus family-friendly activities, such as a bounce house, face painting, and more. On grassy lawn near 521 W 7th Street. Cost for lunch is $8.00, and the menu includes BBQ Chicken and Pork (with a selection of BBQ sauces), housemade chips (with seasoning station), Pasta Salad, Cucumber Salad, and cookie sandwiches (filled with buttercream), plus a soda or bottle of water.
12:15 p.m.: Kiddie Parade around the football field. Local children are invited to decorate their bicycles, scooters, and wagons and parade them around the football field before the game.
1:00 p.m.: Game time! Westminster Blue Jays vs. Martin Luther College. Don’t miss the halftime recognition of 2017 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees.
