Women’s Soccer Falls To Simpson, 1-0

The Westminster women’s soccer team fell to Simpson College Friday afternoon, 1-0. The Blue Jays are now 3-3 on the season.

In the 21st minute, the Blue Jays fouled Simpson in the box, giving them a penalty kick. Simpson scored, giving them a 1-0 lead.

Junior Tayisah Pohtos took a shot on goal in the 31st minute, but Simpson’s goalkeeper was able to grab it.

Both teams were scoreless in the second half, ending the game with a 1-0 shutout loss.

The Blue Jays took five shots throughout the game. Sophomore goalkeeper Ellen Woolsey (3-3) had two saves in the 90 minutes.
