Women’s Soccer Shut Out By Principia

The women’s soccer team was shut out 0-5 by Principia College Saturday afternoon. The loss extends the Blue Jays’ losing streak to five games and brings their overall record to 2-7-1.

Principia scored twice in the first half and three times in the second half. The Blue Jays took six shots and one shot on goal by sophomore Eileen Koppy. Freshman goalkeeper Ellen Woolsey faced 12 shots and saved seven.

The Blue Jays will head to Carlinville, Illinois next Saturday, October 5, to play Blackburn College in Westminster’s second conference match up. The first touch will be at 3:00 p.m.
