Women’s Soccer Falls To Illinois College
The Lady Blue Jays were unable to stop Illinois College in the 0-3 loss Sunday afternoon. The Blue Jays are now 1-2-1 in the season.
The Illinois College Lady Blues scored quickly in the 10th and 16th minutes, giving them the 2-0 lead. The Blue Jays were able to halt their scoring, but the Lady Blues were able to take nine more shots.
The Lady Blues scored again in the 78th minute to complete the Blue Jays’ 0-3 loss.
Sophomores Ashley Schimmel, Manyima Njie and Eileen Koppy each had a shot on goal, and freshman Ellen Woosley faced 15 shots, saving 12.
The Blue Jays travel to Galesburg, Illinois on Friday, September 13th to play Knox College at 4:00 p.m.
