Westminster Announces Cherry-Price Visiting Leaders Series for Students and Employees
Westminster College is pleased to announce an exciting new program for all those on campus who seek professional development: The inaugural Cherry-Price Visiting Leaders Series will take place across campus Nov. 11-13, 2024.
The innovative program is thoughtfully designed to support and inspire the current and future workforce through personalized, informal discussions in classroom settings and other small-group formats.
The series is exclusive to Westminster students and employees.
Dr. Derek Glasgow, Cherry-Price event coordinator, says the campus-only structure of the event is unique.
“The Cherry-Price Visiting Leader Series is designed to maximize personal interactions between alumni, students, and the rest of campus, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that students will have the ability to reflect on their current plans at Westminster while also thinking about their future,” he explains.
This year, five alumni will offer advice based directly on their particular professional experience. They will discuss lessons learned in their careers and offer insight into their journeys beyond the Columns.

Glasgow says the inaugural lineup of speakers will be particularly interesting because of the varied work experience represented among speakers.
“We believe there is much that our students, faculty, staff, and alumni will find beneficial in the short amount of time we all have together,” Glasglow reflects. “And for those who cannot attend this fall, we anticipate an additional event in the spring and beyond, further enhancing the strong bonds between the College and its accomplished alumni while simultaneously providing professional support for everyone on campus.”
