Wally Head Receives Trustee Distinguished Service Award

The Westminster Board of Trustees selected Wally Head ’72 FIJI as the 2018 recipient of the Trustee Distinguished Service Award at the Board’s spring meeting on May 5.

Trustee Head has demonstrated dedication to his alma mater since he graduated with the Class of 1972. He has generously supported the Westminster Fund for many years, beginning his giving to the College shortly after graduation. He is a member of the True Blue Society, which recognizes his 20 consecutive years of financial support.

Head joined the Westminster Board of Trustees in 1997 and served as Chair of the Board from 2013 to 2015.  In addition, in 1999, he established the Wallace L. Head Scholarship, demonstrating his passion for providing meaningful scholarship and support to Westminster students.

The Trustee Distinguished Service Award is reserved for trustees who go above and beyond expectations in their service to the College, providing an exceptional contribution of time, talent or resources; exhibiting leadership and active work as well as outstanding work with alumni engagement and development efforts; and participating frequently in the life of the College. Recipients are selected by the Governance and Trusteeship Committee.
