On Nov. 9, the Westminster volleyball team made history by defeating the MacMurray Highlanders in four sets to claim their first St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title since 1998.

Senior Ashley Kistaitis was named the tournament MVP, while fellow senior Teresa Becker and freshman Eryka Wanyonyi earned spots on the All-Tournament Team.

The victory earned the Blue Jays an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. They will face regional host the University of Chicago on Nov. 15 in the first round.

Prior to loading onto the bus for their drive to the University of Chicago yesterday, the Westminster Blue Jays volleyball team posed for a photo in the Historic Gym. Faculty and staff members greeted the team with refreshments and cheers before they exited the building.
