Volleyball Sweeps MacMurray In 3

The Westminster volleyball team swept MacMurray College in 3 sets on Thursday night. The Blue Jays improve their overall record to 5-3 and move into fourth place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) with a 2-1 record.

The Blue Jays won the close first set 25-23. The Blue Jays finished the second set with 13 kills and a .500 kill percentage; they won the set 25-16. The Blue Jays continued their success throughout the third set, grabbing the 25-14 win to end the match with another win.

The Blue Jays finished the night with eight block assists; sophomore Lexi Collier led the team with three. The team had a .204 kill percentage, led by senior Caroline Abraham with a .350 kill percentage and eight kills. Freshman Kayla Reeg had 26 assists and sophomore Caroline Will finished with 14 digs.

The Blue Jays will head to Eureka, Illinois this Saturday to compete in the Eureka Quad. They will take on Greenville College at 2:00 pm, followed Eureka at 4:00 pm.
