Prospective Students Receive a Warm “Welcome to Westminster”

This President’s Day, the Westminster family welcomed an energetic group of high school students to campus for the Welcome to Westminster Visit Day Program, an event designed to give young people a taste of the college experience.

Professors Barri Bumgarner, Jack Croghan, Dawn Holliday,  David Jones, John Langton, Nate Leonard, Jane Kenney-Hunt, Therese Miller, Ed Mirielli, Selcen Phelps, and Linda Webster each offered an interactive mini-class session of approximately 20 minutes for the visiting students who had an academic interest in their areas of study.

The event had an excellent turnout, and prospective students and families expressed that Westminster made a positive impression.

One parent commented that they had visited a competing school the previous day and that there was “no comparison” in what they experienced—the personal interaction the family received at Westminster was greatly appreciated.

The next Welcome to Westminster event will be Blue Jay Day, held on Saturday, April 14 for admitted students.
