Meet Westminster Student Grant Powderly

Grant Powderly, ’20 DTD

Hometown: Cape Girardeau, MO

Major: Biochemistry with a minor in mathematics.

Future plans: To attend dental school after graduation.

How Westminster is helping him find his purpose: When I first got here as a freshman, I was undecided on a future profession, but I was leaning towards something in the math/science field. If it hadn’t been for the amazing professors and leaders on this campus, I may not have seen dentistry as a future calling.

Favorite place on campus: The Delta Tau Delta house.

Favorite Westminster memory so far: Working on the cadavers in human anatomy class. Being able to do that as an undergrad is a truly amazing opportunity.

What he does when he’s not studying: Hike, play basketball with friends, scuba dive, and watch the Memphis Grizzlies.

A superpower he wishes he had: Teleportation, because I could travel from one area of the world to another in the blink of an eye.
