Feb. 16 Celebration of Life to Take Place on Campus for Pat Kirby

As previously announced with sadness to the College community, beloved and long-time Westminster staff member and supporter Pat Kirby died on Dec. 29 after a valiant battle with cancer.

While at Westminster, Kirby served as Dean of Student Life, Director of Alumni Relations, Baseball Coach for one season, Vice President and Dean of Enrollment Services, and Recruiter of International Students.

Known for his charismatic personality and for recognizing every student by name during his 40-year tenure at the College, Kirby was another Westminster legend known affectionately as “Mr. Westminster.”

A celebration of life in Kirby’s honor will take place at 2 p.m. on Feb. 16 at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury, on the Westminster College campus. His complete obituary can be viewed here.

In lieu of flowers, Kirby’s family asks that gifts be made to the Pat Kirby Endowed Scholarship. For more information on the scholarship, please call the Development Office at 573-592-5319, or give directly online here. When giving online, please indicate you are giving to the Pat Kirby Endowed Scholarship.
