Nov. 30: Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals CEO on “Pharmaceutical Innovation & Your Future”
Mark Trudeau, President and Chief Executive Officer at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, will talk with students at Westminster College in Hermann Lounge on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2017. Lunch will be provided.
Trudeau will discuss the importance of the pharmaceutical industry to global healthcare, cover Mallinckrodt’s contributions, and discuss career paths to help students appreciate how they might make a difference and impact lives through a career in pharma.
Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals is a multibillion dollar specialty biopharmaceutical company focused managing complexity and improving lives. The company provides medicines to address unmet patient needs. Their objective stems from nearly 150 years of using unique strengths, experience and expertise to help improve people’s lives.
Trudeau has been president, chief executive officer and a director since June 2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Michigan. In addition to a significant resume of work experience in the field with companies like Covidien and Bayer HealthCare LLC, he also serves on the board of directors for TE Connectivity Ltd. and as a trustee of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis.
He joined Covidien from Bayer HealthCare LLC, the U.S. healthcare business of Bayer AG, where he served as chief executive officer from 2010 to 2012. In addition, he served as president of the global specialty medicine business unit in 2010.
