Track & Field Competes at WUSTL Invite

The Westminster track & field team traveled to St. Louis, Missouri to compete in the two day Washington University-St. Louis Invite on Friday and Saturday, March 28-29. Westminster did not have team scores.

Freshman Rachel Bade placed 24th in the 400-meter dash with a 1:04.59 time. Junior Danielle Smulczenski finished in 35th place, just seconds behind, with a 1:07.21 final time. On the men’s side, TJ Tijuzuka placed 63rd with a final time of 56.02.

Junior Daniel Lindaman finished the 5000-meter run in 15:53.36.

Junior Mike Lutz placed 74th place discus throw after throwing 28.05 meters. He also threw the shot put, finishing with a throw of 10.25 meters (68th).

Freshman Ryan Dyer placed 54th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.35.

Sophomore Bret Robertson competed in the 400-meter hurdles. He timed 1:04.44 and placed 27th.

Westminster will travel to Bolivar, Missouri for a two-day tournament at the SBU Bearcat Invitational on April 4-5.
