Thinking about taking an online class for the first time? Here’s advice.

Nervous about taking an online class for the first time? Adam Mundle ’18 experienced his first online class (Managerial Accounting) last summer and shares these tips.
- Print out the syllabus so you always have a physical reminder to stay on top of things.
- Do small amounts of work daily instead of trying to do a lot at once so you don’t get overwhelmed.
- Get in contact with other students in the class to discuss course material and help each other understand it.
- Hand-write notes just like you would in a classroom to help you remember things.
- Try to stay in contact with the professor and have a good relationship with him or her so they will always be willing to help you out.

- “I enjoyed this course immensely for the content … It was extremely interesting and has sparked my mind in many directions, too many to mention. That to me is the value of any course I take.”
- “I felt that I was still able to interact with the other students in my class just as I would have in a regular class because of the discussion posts that we participated in.”
