Ticketing Procedures for Albright’s Green Foundation Lecture Announced

The announcement of a John Findley Green Foundation Lecture by former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright created a great deal of attention as campus offices and social media buzzed with queries about how to obtain tickets for the lecture.

This week the College announced ticketing procedures for the Thursday, September 19 lecture.

Students, faculty, and staff received email notification July 12 that they are entitled to one ticket which must be picked up with one form of identification between August 26 and August 30 from the Office of Residential and Greek Life in Hunter Activity Center. Faculty who are robing as a part of the lecture processional will not need to reserve or pick up a ticket.

Members of the Board of Trustees, President’s Club, Lifetime Giving Society, and Alumni Council received an email on July 16 with a link to RSVP for a maximum of two tickets per household. Their responses must be received by midnight on Monday, July 22.

Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first serve basis. Those requesting tickets should note tickets will NOT be mailed. Members of these groups requesting tickets will receive a ticket confirmation email which must be brought along with a photo ID to the will-call table in Latshaw Plaza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the day of the lecture.

Then on July 22 those alumni graduates and non-graduates who have not been previously notified will receive an email containing a link to RSVP for one ticket. Those requests must be received by 8 a.m. on Monday, July 29.

These tickets will also NOT be mailed and require the attendee to bring the ticket confirmation email along with a photo ID to the will-call table in Latshaw Plaza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the day of the lecture.

Remaining tickets will be offered to the general public starting August 1.  A link will be posted on the Hancock Symposium website at https://wcmo.edu/symposium/ to request tickets.
