Three Earn Women’s Tennis SLIAC Honors

The Westminster women’s tennis team closed out the 2014 season with a third place finish at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Tournament. The Westminster Blue Jays concluded the season with a 7-8 record and went 3-2 in conference play with a third place regular season finish.

Senior Kristen Fisher and freshman Ellen Woolsey were named to the SLIAC Honorable Mention Team as the #3 doubles team and individually. As a doubles team, they went 3-1 and 2-1 in conference.

Fisher was named to the Honorable Mention as the #4 singles. She went 3-1 in conference play and 3-8 overall.

Woolsey was named to the Honorable Mention as the #5 singles. She finished conference play with a 4-1 record and was 6-2 overall.

Senior Amy Osborn was selected to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Blue Jays graduate five seniors this Saturday: Amy Osborn, Julia Clark, Kristen Fisher, Mary Nestor and Sarah Heeter.
