Four recent Westminster graduates have begun classes at A.T. Still University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO as of Monday, July 14, 2014.

The four graduates achieved admission through a highly selective process. After receiving over 5,000 applications, A.T. Still University formally inducted the students to its clinical programs on Saturday, July 12 through the White Coat Ceremony for incoming freshman at Truman State University’s Baldwin Hall.

The A.T. Still dental class is comprised of 42 students, 17 men and 25 women from 16 states (including 12 from Missouri). The medical class is comprised of 172 students, 94 men and 78 women from 31 states (including 51 students from Missouri). Additionally, eight students have been accepted into ATSU-KCOM’s residential two-year biomedical sciences graduate program.

Students attending the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) and the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) were recognized during the July 12 ceremony and received a doctor’s coat and pin to symbolize the importance of wearing a white coat and the great journey ahead of them in school.
