Student and faculty accomplishments in the Education Department
The 2013-2014 school year has brought many accomplishments in the Education department. Below is a list of highlights of student’s and professor’s accomplishments.
Dr. Jim Concannon and Erikka Brown, ’14 published an article on, “Creative Education” in the Prospective Teachers’ Perception of Science Theories: An action research study. Their article was recently recognized as a high impact article in the field of science education.
Chris Crowson, ’14, Dr. Linda Aulgur, Dr. Sue Serota and Dr. Jim Concannon presented, “Critically evaluating preservice teacher performances: What are we giving up?” at the Annual Critical Questions in Education Conference in San Antonio, TX.
Professor Elise Bartley, Dr. Jim Concannon and Dr. Laura Stumpe published the article “What’s there to debate about nuclear energy? Promoting multidimensional science literacy by implementing STS strategies,” in Science Activities: Classroom Projects and Curriculum Ideas.
Nancy Stukenborg, ’13, and Dr. Jim Concannon published “Elementary Students’ Investigations in Natural Selection” in Science Activities: Classroom Projects and Curriculum Ideas.
