From lab work to building rockets, the STEM Academy attendees jump started their college research careers with Westminster. In June, high school students came to campus for an engaging, live-in STEM experience. Some of the activities included canvasing the nearby Prairie Fork Conservation Area for specific plant life, studying genetic diseases in the lab, and investigating engineering design by building rockets from two liter soda bottles.
