“State of the Ark” Photo Exhibit Now Open

All are invited to a photo exhibit on endangered species, entitled State of the Ark, presented in honor of our new President, Benjamin Ola. Akande, and his family.  The exhibit opened on Monday, November 2 and will run for two weeks until Monday, November 16.  The location of the exhibit will be in the Backer Dining Room, Mueller Leadership Hall.

“The exhibit is meant to highlight the plight of endangered species,” says Dr. Cain, “which is largely due to human impact (pollution of air, water, and land; destruction of natural habitat; and poaching).”

Many of the 30 large photographs are the work of Dr. Cliff Cain, Harrod – C.S. Lewis Professor of Religious Studies. Dr. Irene Unger – Associate Professor of Biology and Environmental Science, also contributed four of the photographs from her recent trip to the Galapagos Islands.

Come enjoy the beauty of the natural world and learn of the precariousness of many of our fellow creatures. There will be an informative booklet accompanying the exhibit and detailing information on the species “captured” in the photographs.
