Special November Events to Honor Our Veterans

Westminster ranked #7 among all national liberal arts colleges on U.S. News & World Report’Best Colleges for Veterans list. These rankings were given to the top-ranked schools that participate in federal initiatives helping veterans and active-duty service members apply for, pay for, and complete their degrees.

This upcoming month, we are looking forward to honoring the veterans among us with these special events:

Monday, Nov. 10: Dr. Boulton’s Book Talk and Signing
12 noon at Herman Lounge

Westminster College History Professor Dr. Mark Boulton will discuss his book Failing our Veterans: The G.I. Bill and the Vietnam Generation.  Read more about Mark Boulton’s book.

Tuesday, Nov. 11: Student Veterans Panel
12 noon at Herman Lounge

Join us to honor Westminster College Military and Veterans Club as they discuss their experiences in the military and beyond. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

Please join us prior to this event in the dining hall at 11 am for a moment of silence to honor and show reverence for our veterans.

Submit Photos to Annual Holiday Honor Tree at Churchill Museum

Photos must be submitted by Monday, Dec 1 to the National Churchill Museum. Each year the Churchill Museum honors veterans with a Holiday Honor Tree display. If you have photos you would like to submit, you can review the guidelines and submission details here.
