Entertainment expert Richard King recently visited Westminster’s Booking/Presenting Live Entertainment class and hosted an in-depth discussion and student Q&A about the entertainment business. King is famous for his ownership of The Blue Note, a music venue in Columbia, which he sold in 2014.

Students gained insight from King on booking and producing musicians and entertainers, drawn from his extensive experience with The Blue Note as well as his current ventures, Thumper Entertainment and the annual Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival in Columbia, MO.

The Booking/Presenting Live Entertainment course is part of Westminster’s Sports and Entertainment Business Management major, a dynamic program grounded in the College’s eminent Business Department.
