The Chair of the Missouri House of Representatives Higher Education Committee, Representative Mike Thomson, will give a presentation on higher education issues of the current legislative session and take student questions from noon-1 p.m., Monday, February 24, in the Hermann Lounge of the Hunter Activity Center on the campus of Westminster College.

Rep. Thomson, a Republican from Maryville, MO, will be introduced by Westminster Professor Tobias Gibson.
In addition to his chairmanship, Rep. Thomson is a member of the House Education Appropriations Committee, House Budget Committee and the Joint Committee on Education.
He is a former teacher, counselor, and coach as well as an instructor and recruiter for Northwest Missouri State University.
Representative Thomson is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a bachelor of science in education and a master of science degree.
