Raul Belman Romero Named SLIAC Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
St. Louis, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the Players of the Week for September 30th.
Westminster’s Raul Belman Romero, a freshman goalkeeper from Celaya, Mexico, was named the SLIAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. He helped the Blue Jays to a 1-0 overtime win in their only contest on the week. Romero recorded seven saves in the shutout, holding their opponent scoreless through 93 minutes until his team was able to notch the game-winning goal.
