My Voice Keeps Pulse of Campus Culture, Diversity, Inclusion
Westminster embraces diversity and works to create a global community where all world views are heard and appreciated.
Led by the Office of Intercultural Engagement, My Voice is a program designed to assess the pulse of the Westminster community in terms of culture, diversity and inclusion. Through My Voice, students are encouraged to have their voices heard regarding any incidences of intolerance (race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, and any other forms).
By sharing your experiences, you share your concerns that affect us all and help Westminster College to get an exact image of what happens on campus in order to help the college identify and prioritize efforts and resources accordingly.
“‘My Voice’ prompts and reaffirms the importance of my voice personally and my voice as a program,” says Sandra Nivyabandi ’15, My Voice Student Assistant.
“My Voice is important to me because it is a reporting system that strongly considers me, considers other members of the Westminster College community and the Westminster College community at large. It demonstrates that we do not accept incidents of intolerance but act justly to address them together. It demonstrates that I am a part of the Westminster College community and demonstrates that my voice is valued in addressing incidents of intolerance.”
Find out more about the My Voice program on November 11 from 11 am to 1 pm in JCI.
