The media outlets that covered the lecture range from The Fulton Sun, St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Kansas City Star to National Public Radio, ABC News, NBC News, The New York Times, Huffington Post, Newsweek, The London Daily Mail, and The Times of Israel. Online articles included coverage by The Daily Beast, the New Republic, The Spectator (UK), and the Washington Free Beacon.

In short, the aggregate reach/readership of the online news coverage the past week – mostly the past two days — totaled 1.12 billion, which includes online print newspapers and magazines (1.1 billion), blogs and news aggregators (57 million), and TV/radio news portals (716,700).

NOTE: These numbers do not include traditional/hardcopy newspaper and magazine readership, or traditional TV viewership and radio listenership.

In terms of social media amplification, in addition to Westminster’s posts/tweets, Facebook, Twitter, Googleplus, LinkedIn, and Pintrest were buzzing with nearly 550 “shared” stories to other users and their friends and followers. Sen. Sanders’ team also posted multiple tweets to his 2.6 million followers worldwide.

We also live-streamed Sen. Sanders’ speech to more than 1,000 online viewers, and local TV station KRCG-TV also live streamed the speech to their online viewers.
