Late Night Breakfast Offers Stress Relief and Celebration of Community as Finals Week Arrives

Spring finals have begun at Westminster, and with them comes a beloved Westminster tradition: Late Night Breakfast.

Each semester, Westminster’s faculty and staff take over the Backer Dining Hall the night before finals begin to serve students a late night meal of breakfast food favorites, allowing students to blow off steam with friends and strengthening the bonds of the Westminster family. Students from Campus Activities Board and Student Government Association volunteered their time along with faculty and staff to make the event a success.

Over 300 students attended Late Night Breakfast this year, many of them sporting their favorite PJs. The event featured a live performance by Lee DeWyze, winner of season nine of American Idol. More than 70 door prizes were given away, ranging from gift cards and snacks to smart TVs and iPads.

“Late Night Breakfast is a great opportunity for students to take a break from the stress of studying for finals, and last night definitely provided that experience for our students,” said Liz Weise, Assistant Director of Campus Life.
