Koestner and Edwards Named SLIAC Runners of the Week
The Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the winners of the Player of the Week for September 23rd.
MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Jesse Edwards, a sophomore from Rogersville, Mo., put together his personal best performance this weekened as he competed in the Missouri Southern Invitational. Edwards finished the 8K course in a time of 26:42, shaving off a minute of his previous personal best time. Edwards finished just over a minute off the winner’s time and helped his team to an 8th place finish in the 16 team field.
WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Sarah Koestner, a senior from Russellville, Mo., set a personal record this weekend; taking 27 seconds off her previous best. Koestner completed the 5K race in the Missouri Southern Invitational in a time of 18:58, finishing 20th individually and 52 seconds behind the leader.
