Junior Awarded All Expense Trip to President’s Prayer Breakfast

When President Obama greets the crowd at the National Prayer Breakfast Feb. 6, Westminster junior Freda Boateng from Hollis, N.Y. will be in the crowd courtesy of the National Student Leadership Forum, which is funding her all-expense paid trip.

The National Prayer Breakfast brings together over 3,200 people from all 50 states and 140 different countries and people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds to Washington, D.C. to unite in prayer.

Boateng was selected because of her prior involvement in the Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum and her participation in the national forum in Washington, D.C. last September, both funded by Westminster College.

Her group will also meet with a Congressional delegation, tour the Capitol and other interesting places in the Washington, D.C. area and attend a National Leadership Seminar.

The National Student Leadership Forum is an opportunity for the emerging generation ages 18-26 to discuss the significance of faith and values as foundations for effective leadership.
