James Named to 2014 NIC All-Fraternity All-American Basketball Second-Team

Westminster senior guard Joe James was named to the 2014 North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) All-Fraternity All-American Basketball Second Team on Friday, April 11. The All-Fraternity All-American Basketball Teams are made up of elite athletes and coaches from the NCAA and NAIA divisions. The All-Americans are selected by the fraternity headquarters, IFC advisors, sports information directors, Greek alumni and undergraduates.

James, a Kappa Alpha Order at Westminster, helped lead the Westminster Blue Jays to a 14-12 season record and a 4th place conference finish (11-7).

James was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) All-Conference First Team for the 2013-14 season. He led the Blue Jays in scoring (376 points) and assists (72). He also led the team and finished third in the SLIAC with his 87.2 free throw percentage. He ranked second on the team in rebounds with 122, averaging 4.9 a game.

James graduates this May with a Bachelor’s in business administration.
