Interim Human Resources Director to Start at Westminster

Jacqueline Plunkett, a human resources professional with 25 years of higher education experience, will start May 3 at Westminster College as the interim Associate Vice President of Human Resources.

“I am very pleased to be joining the staff of Westminster and look forward to my time there,” says Plunkett. “It is my goal to provide effective human resources leadership to this excellent institution.”

Plunkett comes to Westminster from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO where as Director of Human Resources/Affirmative Action Officer (1996-2014) she developed, maintained and administered personnel management programs in support of efficient university operations.

She has been appointed interim director following the departure of Lisa Otto.

Previously, she was Director of Human Resources (1992-1996) and Assistant Director of Job Placement (1990-1992) at Jefferson Community College in Hillsboro, MO.

She is certified as a senior professional in human resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute of the Society of Human Resource Management and received the 2002 Special Ambassador Award from the Special School District of St. Louis County.

Plunkett holds a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in Human Resource Development, both degrees from Webster University.
