Dr. Bob Hansen Named Rotarian of the Year

Retired Westminster professor Bob Hansen recently received the Raymond McCallister Rotarian of the Year award from the Fulton Rotary Club.

Hansen is currently in Africa, leading a group of volunteers in Rwanda and Tanzania. He has been awarded a global grant by Rotary International and District 6080 in cooperation with a Rotary Club in Tanzania for his work in East Africa to lower the maternal and infant mortality rate among the Maasai in Tanzania.

Tallying approximately 30 years of service to Westminster College and its students, Hansen retired in 2017 after serving roles as Organizational Leadership Professor and Program Coordinator, Executive Director for the Emerson Center for Leadership & Service, Interim Vice President and Dean of Student Life and more.

He is the current president of the board of directors for Humanity for Children, an international humanitarian organization focused on enhancing the quality of life for children and mothers in East Africa.
