Freshman Year Suitemates To Friends For Life

Four years ago I would have never imagined that I would be a graduate of Westminster College.  On move-in day freshmen year I was still not completely sold that I had picked the right school, but within 24 hours I knew that I would be here until graduation.

Freshman year was a new start that was scary and exciting.  Living in a suite with seven other girls could have gone one of two ways; luckily for me it was for the better.  After four long years, 5 of the girls that I lived with freshman year are still by my side.  We have been through everything together, even though we are in different sororities, sports teams, classes, and organizations; we have managed to stay by each other’s sides through the good and the bad.  At graduation, we were with each other as we walked through the Columns out of Westminster and into the world.

Freshman year I walked through the Columns by myself, but my senior year I walked through with my family –my best friends.  I honestly don’t think I could have made it through college without them.

Everyone says that college is the best four years of your life, but it was hard to believe until now.  At Westminster I have learned how to be a leader, be involved, be confident, give back to the community, and how to make the most of every moment.  I have made more friends than I could have ever imagined and I will never forget my time at Westminster.

To us, Gage Hall Suite H will be the place where it all began.  See you “every” Alumni Weekend, Westminster!
