Westminster College Director of Center for Career Development Meg Langland was recently elected secretary of the Missouri Career Development Association (MoCDA), a nonprofit organization creating connections and providing opportunities for professional development and collaboration among career development professionals in Missouri. In her new position, effective mid-April, Langland will help lead MoCDA’s executive board.

“It is a privilege to be elected by my peers in an organization that includes career development professionals from higher education, K-12 schools, as well as the corporate side and private practice,” says Langland, who’s been affiliated with MoCDA since its inception in 2011. “As secretary, I will serve alongside the executive board in planning conferences and webinars that keep our membership aware of the latest trends in the field and allow us to network for the benefit of the population we serve.”

According to Langland, her new position with MoCDA is a great reflection of the work and mission of Westminster’s Center for Career Development.

“Being an officer in MoCDA affirms the level of professionalism our Center for Career Development strives to maintain in the field of career services,” she says. “It also lets prospective students and their families know that our office values professional relationships to assist individuals in reaching their maximum potential career-wise.”
