David Jackson, ’10, Makes St. Louis Business Journal’s 30 Under 30
The St. Louis Business Journal recently named David M. Jackson, ’10, to its 2014 “30 Under 30” class. David is the managing partner of the Gate Way Group, the lobbying and association-management division of public-affairs and advocacy firm Pelopidas, LLC.
The Business Journal selects prominent business leaders and entrepreneurs each year for this prestigious award. These young professionals are chosen from a diverse group of candidates across the St. Louis region, with past winners ranging from Jessica Schanbacher, Senior Vice President of Associated Bank, to Don Calloway, a former Missouri State Representative who now serves as Director of National Affairs at Anheuser-Busch in Washington, D.C.
As the managing partner of the Gate Way Group, David is responsible for shaping the legislative strategy and vision for Gate Way’s broad lobbying and association management client base that stretches across nearly every business sector. In addition to managing relationships with hundreds of local, state, and federal elected officials, David and his team work with other divisions in the Pelopidas, LLC network to integrate digital media, events, and data strategies into a multidimensional, customized action plan for each client, policy initiative, and brand.

David was born in Jefferson City, MO, and attended Cape Girardeau Central High School after his father was transferred to southeast Missouri as legal counsel for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT). At age 19, David started his professional career as a registered lobbyist with Pelopidas, LLC while he was attending Westminster College in Fulton, MO where he studied business administration. This accelerated career path earned him a spot in theExecutive MBA program at Washington University in St. Louis last fall, a program ranked second worldwide by the Wall Street Journal and geared for upper level managers with 10-15 years of business experience.
