Chinese High School Students Visit Westminster

On Feb. 17, Westminster College hosted a group of 45 high school students and faculty, mostly from Liuzhou High School from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China, next to Guangdong Province where Guangzhou and Shenzhen are located. The group is on a US tour for several weeks, with time spent with families in St. Louis.
Westminster is a founding member of the United States Consortium for International Education (USCIE), a group of 10 Midwestern Liberal Arts Colleges who travel to China each November to visit high schools to meet with Chinese students, school officials, and parents. I have visited this huge but beautiful high school and have met many of their students and school officials. They have treated our Consortium members royally both times we have visited their school, city and province. In exchange, I offered a campus visit to them and that is why they visited this week.
They visited with some of our Chinese students at lunch and on the tours.
