Celebrating 35 Years of WOW

In 1979, Westminster College welcomed its first class of women students to campus. This group of pioneering women called themselves WOW, which stands for the Women of Westminster.  In hopes of highlighting these amazing women and the many female students who have followed in their footsteps, Westminster will host events all year to celebrate them!

Join us on Friday, October 10 for the Year of WOW kick-off event in the CSC Atrium at 4 p.m. Enjoy refreshments along with free shirts and buttons to the first arrivals!

In the month of November, we will have opportunities to “give thanks” to a WOW in your life. In the spring, we plan to continue the celebration with other cool events.

Everyone on campus is welcome to celebrate the wonderful contributions women have made to Westminster College. From their successes in the classroom, to their help in establishing clubs and organizations, as well as the their strong alumni support, over the last 35 years women have helped to enrich and shape Westminster College.  This is cause for the entire campus community to celebrate!

We hope that you can come to our events so you too can show your gratitude to past and present WOW!
