Westminster’s annual Career Fair will be held Tuesday, September 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Mueller Student Center. This year, Westminster’s Center for Career Development will host 49 organizations, including graduate schools and employers from Kansas City, Saint Louis, Oklahoma, and more. In addition to job opportunities and graduate schools, students will find information on study abroad programs and internships.

The Career Fair is an excellent opportunity to make contacts in your chosen field and prepare for life after graduation, whether you’re a senior about to graduate or a freshman just starting your college journey. Students who attend will be entered to win prizes, including padfolios and Walmart gift cards. Refreshments will be provided.

Not sure what to wear? The Center for Career Development requires professional dress for the Career Fair to ensure that you make a good impression on potential employers. They have even provided helpful guides for both men and women offering recommendations for professional dress. If you would like extra help, bring your outfit by the Center in the lower level of Newnham Hall to get advice.

Six of the organizations in attendance will be represented by Westminster alumni, listed below.

  • Krista Komoroski ’07, representing ALDI, Inc.
  • Jeremy Siebert ’14, representing Clifton Larson Allen LLP
  • Josh Hanley ’02, representing Commerce Bank of Central Missouri
  • Virgil McDonald ’97, representing Edward Jones Home Office
  • Michael Bruchsaler ’14, representing KXEO Radio, Inc.
  • Robert Fyalka ’11, representing MilliporeSigma

If you are interested in any of the organizations or fields listed above, be sure to stop by and introduce yourself. Westminster’s alumni network is dedicated to providing guidance and support to current Westminster students.

The Center for Career Development offers many services beyond the Career Fair, including information on graduate schools and careers, a four year plan for college students, interview prep, and more. Stop by the lower level of Newnham Hall to get the most out of your college experience and prepare yourself for the future. And make sure to attend the Career Fair on September 27!
