Westminster Community Celebrates the Forsythes
On April 10, the Westminster community gathered to honor and celebrate the contributions of and impact that President and Jane Forsythe have had on our College during their 10 years of service. Following a military escort from Washington West House to Champ Auditorium through a cheering crowd, the event kicked off with performances the Blue Jay Band, led by Alan Nellis, and the Blue Diamond Dance Team.

The ghosts
Of a boy and girl
Lie down over leaves
In piles on a table.
As if they had offered
Their lives, they hold fruit
On a plate, in a bowl,
Their hands.
Each piece begins
To peel its own light,
While flowers on a pitcher
Have darkened.
Outside, the sun
Has stood in the trees.
It passes a window.
It re-enters the skin.
